Prepworks Nut Chopper by Progressive

Prepworks by Progressive Nut ChopperThere is no shame in taking shortcuts, especially in the kitchen.  One of my favorite kitchen shortcuts is using my nut chopper to chop walnuts, chop pecans or chop nuts of any kind.

I enjoy baking and baked goods often include nuts.  It can be a very painstaking job to break up nuts without a chopper.  I know because I did it for years.  I used to sit and break walnuts or pecans with my hands.  Of course, my hands would be sore afterwards.  Needless to say, I thought my nut chopper was nothing short of a miracle the first time I used it.  Now, I wouldn’t be without one.

Even if you only use nuts during the holidays, the right nut chopper is worth the cost for the amount of time it saves.

If you are looking for an inexpensive gift for someone who bakes, this nut chopper would be greatly appreciated.

Not only does it chop pecans and walnuts quickly, the bottom section is a measuring cup.  Therefore, I don’t have to guess when I have chopped two cups.  Or break up more than I actually need.  Much better and easier to chop exactly the amount needed for a recipe.

It also has a non-skid base which does keep the chopper from moving as I turn the chopping blades.

Also, if you look in my picture in the introduction, you will see that the nuts can either be cut fine (turning the handle to the left) or coarse (to the right).
